Cancer Update
Last Tuesday I got to meet with my oncologist. I chose a woman, and I am so glad that I did. Wednesday & Thursday I had appts. with my other doctors. They both gave me glowing reports on my oncologist that I had chosen, and told me that I could not have chosen a better doctor. Friday I had the PET scan and two CT scans. The doctor called me Friday night, after she got the results, to let me know that the Cancer had NOT spread outside of the breasts!! Hurray!!
Today I went to the hospital for an echo cardiogram. Dr. Peacock says that chemo can sometimes damage the heart muscle and she wanted to be sure that my heart can take it. Guess "Fibro" didn't hear that I actually have a heart, and he stayed clear of that muscle. LOL I was told that my heart was in great condition. I also had a port-a-cath installed into my right chest wall. It has a bladder that the chemo can go into instead of constantly finding a vein.
I am very sore and tired tonight, but I go tomorrow for my first chemo session. Guess I will find out how well the port works!! LOL
