dmv the black hole
Went down to the dmv the other day to get a print out of my record for work. It took me two hours to get to the desk to get a ticket to be helped. Then an hour to be called up to get the record that took ten seconds for the clerk to print out. All the bad vibes is justified down at the dmv. Course in our state dmv offices are now closed on fridays too. I learn that I can print the record out now at home. If I just knew. Course it would help if I had a printer. You just can't win some days.
My wife used to work at dmv. They had contest some years ago in Oregon so that Oregonians could win $10,000 by designing the state plate. The design that they chose was of a tree that wasn't in Oregon, a woman who wasn't from Oregon. She was the relative of the director of dmv. So the tree that you see on Oregon plates is a tamarack. Should have used a Douglas fir.
