I wasn't feeling well, but should have had one of the moderators put something on.
I think he will always tug at our hearts,no matter what Party one is affiliated with.
Does any one want to tell what they were doing, again, when this American Tragedy happened?

He was an amazing man! he took a gamble with the Russian missle crisis & he succeeded which showed the back bone of a real leader instead of a wimp like some Presidents we have had. His affair with MM was hushed up so that he could concentrate on that situation. He stood up to Krushchev & did not back down! If his bluff was called, then we may have not gotten this far because there would have been a war between Russia and us and someone would have used nuclear weapons sooner or later whether by accident or on purpose.
I was still in school when he was shot. I was watching tv when he was shot though and & could not believe my eyes what was happenning! How could an assassination take place in a free society? It shook me and caused me to want to make people like that pay the supreme price for what they have done. Capital punishment is to good for them!! Firing squad is to good for them as well. To quick! Hangng is best so there you go.

I was washing dishes and heard it I rushed in to see then called my mother in law. We both stood on the phone crying. It still choke up when I remember it . It was the first time I cryed over someone I had never met. He was a wonderful leader. And one of the people I most looked up to.

It was 1963 and I was in fifth grade and I remember my teacher, Mrs. Epstein telling us that the president was shot. I remember watching the funeral on TV and every body was crying.

I was in the 6th grade and helping to clean up the cafeteria after Thanksgiving decorating. The TV was on and my old teacher clutched her chest and started to cry. They sent us home from school and gave us the rest of the week off.

I will never forget this event. JFK was killed on my fathers birthday and buried on my brother's birthday. November 22, 1963 and November 25, 1963. My father turned 50 years old that day. We watched evrything on TV for the entire 3 days!

Well,we could only get 4 stations back then, and that was just about all that was televised till after the funeral......of coarse I don't think any grown-ups complained......but I will admit that I missed my afternoon cartoons,I lived for cartoons!

I heard about it over the speaker in my high school human biology class and watched the proceedings sadly at home. On Sunday, the day Lee Oswald was shot, I played in a concert that was dedicated to Kennedy's memory. We played a slow piece by Bach especially for him.
