is it ok?

i havent been very active here but it is my favorite group.
like in life i seem to enjoy people who smoke a little weed now and then.
well, truth be told most days.
anyway, on another group someone is needing some help because they are unhappy.
what happens if you say..."take a toke or two honey" ...is it illegal to say stuff like that?
or am i trying to be cute and ohhh look at me so liberal and all.
have any of you spoken about it in strait groups?

maybe you are trying to be cute but that's not a problem for me
I think we still have freedom of speech and can still say "smoke 'em if you got 'em".
I think the "strait" groups you mention probably talk about other stuff, but it's all good.
Have a good day, take a toke or two for the rest of us who are working.

I would not talk about marijuana in a straight group.

yes you are right roger, i just wish more people would understand how much it helps.
but then again if it is scary to people, then who am i to say.
It would be so helpful to so many people, especially us "seniors"
just saying!

High! Of course it's ok! I talk about my love of pot and my daily pot use in EVERY group I belong to! 1st of all, your web posts are protected by the First Amendment/Freedom of Speech, and 2nd, there is more than 1 "marijuana-related" group at Eons. If it was "illegal" to talk about ANY aspect of pot here at Eons, they would never have let me form Old Tokers almost 3 years ago! My group's posts ALL have to pertain, in some way, to pot. And we discuss EVERYTHING there, including how to grow it, where to buy seeds online, how to make cannabutter, etc., etc., etc.

I've been smoking pot daily since 1967 -- 42 years; my old man and I have been "growing our own" for at least 25 years, here in northern CA. Look at my Profile page, and you'll see the marijuana leaf border, and a pic of some joints my old man rolled for me 1 weekend in my Pictures area. In fact, the "More About Me" section includes "pot smoking" as 1 of my main "activities"!

BTW, let me know if you'd like to join OT, as I keep the membership limited to anyone born in 1964 or EARLIER -- NO young people, no kids, no grandkids. I'm smoking a joint right now that's a mixture of Purple Kush and Hindu Skunk -- can you say STONED??! Stay High and Peace! Alison

If it is likely to make the "other" group members uncomfortable, I wouldn't mention it.

Alison, you have a way of expressing yourself on this subject, like no one I have ever seen!! Am in total agreement with you-but there are folks here-[Eons]-that make a habit of bashing anything they do not agree with, and is their right to do so-even though we may dis-agree. They do not agree to dis-agree, respectively!!

So if you cannot take the bashing---leave it alone.

If Shit can happen---it will!!!!!!!!!!

High again - Robert, I consider myself an ambassador (ambassadress?) for pot, and hope to "enlighten" others by my own conduct -- I'm engaged in the political process; I've both smoked pot daily AND managed living with type 1, insulin-dependent diabetes, for about the same amount of time (over 40 years) with relatively good health; I'm able to follow and contribute to the conversation, using polysyllabic words; and my memory (both short-term and long-term) is EXCELLENT (my family often comes to me when they have questions like, "What was the name of the street we lived on in the 1st house we bought?" Answer: Johnstone Court). Health-wise, I've been ALWAYS been "out-front" about my pot use (every single physician I've had since 1969 knows I smoke it!).

Sue, you're right about being aware of others' sensibilities, and not making others uncomfortable, tho I've had NOTHING but positive feedback from the groups I belong to. Of course, I only REALLY belong to, and post at, a handful of groups, not like most of you here, who belong to several. And since my "pot proselytizing" often centers around MEDICINAL pot use, there are many "non-tokers" who have less of a bias against it. Especially, when I mention that pot helps prevent Alzheimer's Disease, a disease that's going to be a HUGE problem for us "Boomers" in the coming years. Unless you've saturated your cells with protective cannabinoids, like I have...! Stay Well, Stay High and Peace! Alison

I mention it as often as possible unless it bothers folks. My dr has no issue with it.

fancydancer...nice to meet you.

Seems we may have more in common than just the similarities in our online identities...I am a very spiritual person. I really believe in the power of spirit and soul, meditation, peace..and freedom. Part of freedom to me is to have different sides to my personality, yet my character remains intact, solid and for the most part…good. I see nothing wrong with pot...it is no more than an herb...not unlike any other, use it in excess- perhaps may have adverse affects, depends on the person. I like it for arthritis pain...is that wrong? Should I rather take something that will destroy my liver in time? I believe this to be my choice.

First beginning with eons, I made many friends of a different sort, however...they implied that they were accepting of all, willing to embrace different characters... I have seen however, that the more I interact with groups here; groups that may involve folks of differing morals, differing characteristics…even though they may be a good solid soul…the more I have lost contact with those who claim peace, love and sharing with all mankind.

We all have to make our own choices in life, we all have our own demons...baggage...and we all learn to live this life hopefully as peacefully as we can. No one...No one...has the right to dictate to us what is right or wrong for US. No one.

I try, seriously...with all that is in me- to NOT judge others for who or what they are. I really believe that is the rougher course in life. To judge, turn away...easy. I choose NOT.
