The people we have voted into congress have a skewed view of what they have been elected to do... It seems that the see themselves in a position were there is a huge cake to be divided up, and it is their responsibility to make sure that their state gets the biggest portion possible.

That is the problem and that is why we have nothing but pork ... now is a time that people like Mary Landrew of LA, must be made to see that this type of behavior is not acceptable any longer. They have to be shown that they are not there for that reason, instead they have been place into a position where we expect them to make government smaller, spend less, and make the burden of paying for the Federal system something easier for individuals and businesses to pay for ... if we don't people will have no money because there will be no jobs as businesses will move elsewhere and just sell their products here. It seems to me that we will not be able to buy those products either, so our nation will be in a tailspin.

They have to see that it is they who are the problem and they have but a few months to bring the change we need, and that is a change in the way Congress does business.

Absolutely right..and Senator Reid should be retired.
