7th Tuesday

I cant believe that I am at the 7th week...and it hasnt been a great one.Life does get in the way. I will be heading south next week for 5 months and I need to get my fridge and cupboards cleared out... My Scot upbringing and God forbid that one should ever throw away food. Just cant do it!! So my meals have been scratchy. Too many carbs.
I did have a cheese and bacon sandwich for lunch and I also made a bread pudding for dessert for dinner. Not good timing. and my exercise went down the tubes as Hal has had the flu and I have been trying to stay away from people in case I fall to it. So far so good.
In spite of all this my scales are down this week ...still not out of the "range" but I take heart in the down part.
Well I probably will not get here next week..I have not mastered airplanes and computers together yet.
Keep doing your best and it will payoff. Scales are not the only things that count. feeling good and seeing your shape change are also rewards..

That is right! Scales sont always tell the tale. I too was brought up that you dont waste and always eat all the left overs, yada, yada, yada...That is a really hard one to break. But I also think that you dont have to use a specific "diet" if you will to loose. Just cut down on what you eat of the bad things...that which you know you have a problem with. I am an A blood type. Along with that my shape is the V, so with those two together, its really hard for me if I dont follow a somewhat stiff regiment...but I have found that I really have to exercise....I will not loose much if I dont. The A blood types are the ones that smell food and gain, literally...lol.
Good Luck to you Halsgal, and if you get off it for a week or so, just jump back on again when things get settled. I think we all forget that it needs to become a way of life to be successful at keeping it off, not just a few months at trying to "loose" it....I dont want to "loose" it because that would infer that I want to find it again! I want to release mine, never to see it again...smile

Never thought about the blood type .but I am an A as well....Just dont want to use that as another excuse, I have given up on "diets I just want to be healthy ...feel good ..slimmer would help .
BTW I think that my not getting the flu is part of eating/living better.
Thats a big bonus.

I dont use the A blood type as an excuse...but if you read on it it explains why so much of what you eat causes you to gain when others dont...there is not much that you can eat, or should I say that I like and can find around me that I would want to eat...I did find that it works though...
