The kids don't speak the same language that we do. My daughter-in-law keeps trying to say my grandkids don't understand me because I have a So. IN. drawl but I think it's something deeper.

My 12 year old grandson talks so fast that I have to ask him to repeat himself, over and over. I know he gets mad at me, but I know my hearing is fine.
oh I agree..it is something deeper.nothing to do with are southern drawl ..

Amen on the fast talking, she sounds like a tobacco auctioneer, you remember "Sold to American" in the old cigarette comercials. When she calls me on the cell phone I have to ask her to slow down to orbital speed and repeat what she has just said.
