Lee Valley sells this little piece of hardware, you supply the wood. You are going to have to hustle to turn this out by Thursday though!

k this is as close as ive found. i had one like this, but in wood. a basic bowl, with a screw hole and a wooden screw that squeezes the nut until it cracks.
may i ask why the emergency?
