Being an inquisitive soul, I have been pondering Annie's statement in the latest Pix Puzzle thread . . . i.e., "Give me a brownie button I solved a puzzle" . . . and I've been trying to figure out exactly what that means. I did a Google search and came up with the following images for "Brownie Button." Which one do you think is the correct answer . . . no fair googling! LOL ~KK

I assumed she referred to the badges you got when you did well in Brownies and Girl Scouts, so I vote for # 2...

What a smart bunch of cookies my Chums are! Yes, the correct answer is #2. Although personally I could also make a case for the Brownie camera! Anywho, here is the explanation from the Urban Dictionary at view link (//brownie-button.urbanup.com/4279261):

Sarcastic term for giving someone unnecessary recognition. Similar to a pat on the head or back. From the younger Girl Scouts called Brownies that are given buttons or badges for good deeds or accomplishments.

Example: Calm down John...I'll give you a Brownie Button for not punching that rude old lady in the face for giving you the finger! Note: Try googling "Brownie Button" . . . the results may surprise you! {grin}
