In my home,San Jose Ca, watching it on TV
In elementary school, Hillside Elementary, Berwyn, PA. When we heard the news two classmates were chosen to go to the principal's office to watch while the rest of us went outside to play kickball. After school was dismissed the next several days were spent at home watching everything unfold.
I too was in school..second grade and they came on the intercom and told the children and adults.
I was at home washing dishes and listening to the tv. I immediatly broke into tears and called my mother in law and told her.
I was in Junior High. The principal came outside, stood on top of a picnic table with a bull horn. Told us the terrible news, then dismissed school so we could home to our families.
I was in elementary school & I remember the teacher telling us all in tears. I remember very vividly watching the news coverage with everyone crying. We had just seen JFK the day before in Albuquerque & everybody was so happy & then everyone was so very, very sad. Seems like just a few years ago, huh? I've always wondered thru the years what would have happened for the country if not for that...
I was in second grade, like dreamer74, and they announced it on the PA. I remember walking home thinking how strange and sad it all was. We didn't have a tv, had to watch it at the neighbors.

I was in junior high school, 9th grade Civics class, when they made the announcement over the PA system.
I had just came home from the bank, had not had tv on all day. My exhusband had come home early and had tv on and told me what happened.
I had no idea today was the anniversary. Haven't seen anything about it on TV, but I don't watch much anymore unless it's taped.
I was in elementary school in my 5th grade class when they made the announcement. Guess we're all telling our age now. LOL!
