Like father, like daughter......

I like to check out the news from many different sources and recently I was reading about the plans for the detainees at Gitmo. This surprised me, but also the context of the article is very amusing.

Standish, Michigan, tells Liz Cheney to sell it up the street:

Officials in a small Michigan town featured in a new video about Guantanamo by Liz Cheney's national security group want her to know that they're not falling for her "fearmongering" — and tell us they want Gitmo detainees in their town.

I am sure that somewhere in the world there are those who seem to agree with the family of Chenneys, but I am one and find them and their actions very humorous.

I am wondering about these detainees and what is happening with them, anyone is welcome to add comments and lets discuss this in our fantastic NHB manner??????

What bugs me about Liz and Dick is that it is okay for her to have a life partner and child and be treated as part of a legitimate couple and okay for Newt's daughter but not okay for anyone else's children. The GOP is one for making rules for everyone else but they don't need them cuz they don't err.

Liz Cheney isn't gay, her sister Mary is.

Well, as to the fear mongering I find it laughable that anyone would be concerned over " Alleged terrorist ", but not so concerned over convicted and incarcerated members of street gangs, mafioso's, drug traffickers from Mexico and our South America, Klansman, Arian Nazi's, American Born Muslims, American Militiamen, and Anarchist.
It's as if the detainees are behind a wall of Kryptonite. Once released from Gitmo and installed into federal prisons, they would regain their super powers, and escape by punching holes in the walls of the maximum security prison.
It's like a finger pointing to the moon. Concentrate on the finger, and you miss all that heavenly glory. ( Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon )

Liz Cheney loves her daddy. So she's trying to protect his legacy. Daddy Cheney is allowing his daughters to sacrifice their credibility to save his. A selfish and un-father like position in my opinion. You don't throw your kids under the bus to cover up your mistakes. At least we use to not do that.

2 - Mary, Liz - the issue is sauce for the foie but shit for the rest.

WE - yeah, Michigan in winter is going to make Gitmo look like Eden. They thought having dog runs with shade covers was cruel - wait till they get to share an 8x8 with steel bunks!

Let's see. That would leave a 4' aisle between the bunks with a 2' space at the end. 24 ft.sq. for the bunks and 40 sq. ft. floor space. Sounds quite roomy. Four could sleep in there with bunkbeds.

most of the cells with two beds are one on top and one on the bottom. Do you not watch TV???

Well stated, Charles. Oh yeah. I'd much prefer Gitmo to Michigan in the winter. As Perm said, "Michigan in winter is going to make Gitmo look like Eden."

Charles, it reminds me of the terror and panic surrounding the freeway shooter who was just put to death. People were afraid to travel or gas up their cars.

At the time, many came forward from inner city areas saying, "We live under a threat like this every day and so do our kids." This country has plenty of gang members and very scary homegrown militants.

Super Obama, tear down that Kryptonite wall. :)
