Good Movies

Our youngest daughter gave us Flix movies for Christmas. We've watched a few and Friday night and last night we saw a couple that were excellent. We viewed "The Soloist" and "Grand Torino" and I stayed awake for both. (That's a positive vote for any movie) I'd have to caution anyone aboout the language in "Grand Torino", certainly not meant for youngsters.

Yesterday was great and today is also bright and sunny with just a little breeze. Temp in the 50's but it feels a bit colder because of the breeze. If the forecast is right, the rest of the week will be cloudy but not much rain, just a few sprinkles, mostly at night. Haven't heard anything specific about Thurs. yet.

Netflix is great John, we've had it for about a year and really enjoy it. Saw the two you mentioned, and loved them both, just watched Intolerable Cruelty, with George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones and will only rate it a 2. Clooney drives me mad, he's movies are either incredible good or just plain bad.

Don't forget to get a few documentary's. The Imax one's are so good. even without the 3D. The Living Sea: IMAX was wonderful and our next one will be Whales: An Unforgettable Journey: IMAX

My kids told me about Grand Torino....I'm an Eastwood fan anyway, but I've not had the chance yet to watch it....maybe over Thanksgiving or Christmas break....my son has a copy of it...our weather sounds like yours today, but we've rain the the forecast for the next couple of days.....see you later...TC

Be sure and watch "The December Boys"(Australian film) and "Other People's Lives" (German) Two of the best movies i saw last year.

Hi John! I havnt see either one of those yet,but have heard good things about both. My Mom saw Grand Torino and liked it.

They said it was going to clear up last night and be sunny today,but it didnt quite go like that. No rain today,but it was foggy this morning,and gray and cloudy all day. Should be better tomorrow,and I think we are going to have mild weather until next weekend!
