Still summer here, wish I could trade ya! I love those almost 60 degree days, especially when they're sunny. Enjoy, and think about us poor folk down here in Florida sweltering in the heat as we approach Thanksgiving (oh, poor me!).
Boo -hoo, Mike I guess if I cry crocodile tears for you that would be appropriate? lol Still, I will take 50's weather over 90's anyday. I like going outside and thinking that if I am cold, I can throw a warmer jacket on. But there is just so many pieces of clothing you can take off if you are hot, before you get arrested! :0)
Rainy, dismal and cold here in NC WI. 42 degrees and I am not lumping it...better than anything below zero! (I don't have ENOUGH clothes I can throw on for that!)
Yesterday (Saturday) was wonderful in Green Bay. I took the babies out for a walk. I put jackets on all of us and took them off when I was a half a block away. it was just too sunny and pleasant out. Of course pushing a tandem stroller is quite a workout for me. I really need to get to a gym!!! LOL
Razz -- that would be "alligator" tears! There might be crocs somewhere, but around my part of the state it's all alligators!
There's something that you don't get to do around here very often, and that's "capture" all the cold air during the night and "trap" it in your house the next day. We "get" to run the AC all the time or we'll get overrun by mold, at least until we get to our cool, dry season -- oh yeah, we're already overdue for that!
I'm sick of running the AC -- I spent the entire weekend cleaning the house for Thanksgiving, and I kept wishing I could open the windows and air it out a bit, but noooooooo!!!!!
I like your messages Mike. Kinda reminds me why moving to a warmer climate ain't necessarily all it is cracked up to be. I do take opening the windows for granted.
You are so right! I've been here "temporarily" for 22 years -- always in the "process" of moving back! If I didn't have to work for a living, I'd be in Wisconsin a lot more than I am now.
I think I turned the AC on 3 times this year, and only for a couple hours. I hate running it, love trapping the night air, and being able to open the windows...esp when I'm working around the house. I couldn't live in FL, yet so many here thing it's THE place to go.

I am well aware the saying is "alligator tears" I was making a very small joke..and trying to give Mike a hard time but it backfired, I guess.
I think my outdoor thermometer is broken. It said 42 this morning and 42 tonight but the one on the bank said 56 this afternoon so I went home and walked the dogs and it seemed way warmer than 42. When the wind doesn't blow it makes a big difference in how it feels. (DUH!) Sometimes a light breeze isn't bad but then it can make 42 seem like 32.
I thought the saying was properly "crocodile tears" and I got the joke - he he! I was just trying to make a little joke myself, poor attempt at one, I guess.
The bank down the street said 86 today when I went to the grocery store -- driving with the AC on full blast, sweating like it was summer -- bah!
I just don't know anymore. My daughters' daycare worker used to say she was good at those "alligator tears" ..I know that crocs live somewhere else. No matter.
It was a nice day for being alive. That I do know. I will also say that I have a different view of the upcoming winter when I hear about people sweating in other places! Mercer - you tell us when the last day is that you golf this year so we can mark it on the calendar. Then next year we can comment "wasn't Mercerman still golfing this time last year?" when we are all under 3 feet of snow! LOL
