I'm still around and kicking...

It's been awhile since I have posted anything in any group. now thinks have settled somewhat or I am in the eye of the hurriccane. Life is getting better or I should say, more interesting. I am currently dealing with Workmans Comp so that I can get my tore up knee rebuild. time will tell..

Hello Greywolf. Good to see you and I pray that your dealings with workmen's comp come out in your favor. It seems like you have to fight for everything you need anymore.

Hello Greywolf, I can relate to problems with knees, as I am having a lot of problems with mine. A few months back my left knee came out of socket, it was one bad pain I won't soon forget. I hope you can get the issues resolved & get on with getting your knee rebuilt.

I can certainly relate to knee issues as well, as the cartilage in my left one is completely destroyed. It will need to be replaced, but as they say I am too young I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I just don't follow this reasoning.

They say a replacement only lasts 15 years, IF you really take care of it. Well, I certainly don't plan on running any marathons!

Besides, I'm 45 NOW. In 15 years I will be 60. If they replace it again then, I won't need it done again until I'm 75. WHO CARES if I can walk then?!... I certainly don't!... As it stands, I wonder if I will make it that long, but maybe that's their strategy... IDK... (sigh)

Dear Greywolf,

It seems like most of us of a certain age can relate to your knee problems; I sure can!
I currently am struggling with bursitis in my ankle:-( ouch!

I'm hoping the Workmans Com. will get settled and be in your favor.

Rcajun...with that attitude, there may not be too many others who will care if you can't walk at the age of 75.

I know a lot of 75 (or close to it) year olds and they care greatly about their ability to be mobile and independant. I bet if you reach 75 you will care about that, despite your words here. Do you think life at the age of 75 is not worth living?
