Where Did The Day Go?....

I spent the morning digging out the rest of the Christmas ornaments and going through them for things I wanted to add to the store decorations. Then went backdown around noon. Spent nearly 4 hours there ,but still have a little left to do yet. Most of it is up though.

After that I tackled the grocery store for the rest of the stuff for Thanksgiving dinner....me and about a million other people! What a madhouse! I have stopped there two other times this week...both times for something from the pharmacy, and it was just as packed then.I bet the people working there will be some glad to see Thanksgiving over with! We have several regular customers at Subway from there, and they say Christmas isnt nearly as hard as Thanksgiving is.

Took forever to get through the store and checked out. By the time I got home, got it all carted in and put away...fixed us a quick bite to eat--the day was over! Now I need to go and get Moms bandages changed. I am really tired tonight, will probably fall asleep in front of the TV.

It was stillraining this morning, and cloudy all day. Think our high was around 59,but its clearing tonight, and we should have a pretty day tomorrow with a high around 70!

Hope you all had a fine day,and have a great night.

We got whacked with tons of rain Friday and Thrus night. Our streets flooded. It was cloudy and cold today. Haven't even bought the food for Thanksgiving yet. Took the dog to the vet on Thrus. as he has been bleeding from his nose. Turns out he has a large growth in that left nostril. Vet gave him some medicine to make him comfortable as nothing can be done. I'm hoping he makes it past the holidays, but if it looks like his quality of life gets real bad, I will have him put to sleep.

Mudqueen, I'm so sorry about your poor dog. I hope he won't suffer too much. I also hope there are no casualties from the flooding there.

And Pat, sleep well, and I wish you a calm day tomorrow.

I guess I should get my Thanksgiving shopping done in the morning before the store is crowded. Thanks for the warning. Actually it's Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, I'll be shopping for, when we'll have four different households-worth of family members here. I do need to get ready for overnight guests, though, and feel lucky to have them come.

Oh you will have your hands full, Valley! It will be fun to visit with family though. My eldest son is coming up with his family for Thanksgiving and also my dad. I think the gkids will cheer the dog up as he loves all the attention he gets from them.

Sounds like all of you ladies will be rather busy the next few days with Thanksgiving prep!! One of my sons has taken a second job at a SAMS warehouse club and he said yesterday was packed the whole day! I guess Thanksgiving is one holiday the economy isn't slowing down?

Pat, bet you're glad to have most of the decorations up....now you can begin to enjoy the Christmas spirit on a daily basis....have you begun playing Christmas songs yet? I hope you had a good night's sleep and can relax a bit here on Sunday.....maybe I'll catch you here later....TC
