sending lotsa kitty love & hugz !! - meow
I feel that when they stop eating, that's the time. Unless you realize that they are in a lot of pain/or are suffering a great deal. Then you should not wait for them to go off their food.
my neighbor's doberman died yesterday while hiking his leg to pee, just feel over. He was 10yrs old and his heart just wear out. What a dog, getting that last pee in, he was the coolest, I will miss him.
George is in deep grieving and I am concerned he will just give up and die himself. That dog was his life.
Letting our animals go is hard, isn't it?
I know that they too have souls and we will see them on the other side again soon enough. It is just the missing that makes it so hard.
So, sorry for you.... It's hard to let go, my prayers are with you both...
Workinggal: You are asking one of the most difficult questions we all have to ask ourselves sometimes. I kind of agree with Wildeagle. Look for when your baby stops eating, and I also have seen that most of our pets like to die in private. When they start looking for quiet, dark areas or try to get under your bed, they are letting you know that they have accepted their fate.
No matter when, it's going to be so hard to let them go like Joan said.
My thoughts are with you!
This is such a difficult time for you. It's part of owning a fur baby. When it's time, you will know.
My heart goes out to you, and i know what you are going through. I have been there many times, but you will be ok. Just know life goes on in the spirit world, where there is no more pain or suffering.
God be with you.

There are no good answers to this part of our pet lives...soon after they arrive...we know we do not own them, but they ingrain their personality on our lives. When his time comes...may your heart be filled with memories of better times.
