T-day

My daughter just got a new job - something becoming trickier and trickier in NJ - so I took her out to breakfast this morning to celebrate.

We went to the Alexis Diner on Route 10 in Denville. They have a terrific breakfast menu (beccah had an Israeli Omlette -an omlet made with lox and onions - terrific). Anyway the point of this is they, the diner, are sponsoring a thanksgiving dinner to benefit a local orphanage. I seem to remember it's on the 24th, but isn't t-day the 25th? They have seating times and offer not only turkey but ham and duck and one other protein that I can't remember right now. With of course all the trimmings

If you're plans are loose you might want to check it out -saves washing dishes at any rate. = Debbie

Congrats to your daughter for finding a new job. You are right about employment becoming trickier and trickier here. And you are a good mommy for celebrating with her.

What a nice thing for the diner to do, I think giving back is the true meaning of giving thanks. About the omelette, not so much a lox fan but if it had smoked whitefish, it would be shouting my name (lol)

Congrats to daughter, don't let her loose the job either if she can help it. Employers are getting tighter and strickter with employee;s. be sure she is punctual, neat, on time, professional looking not matter what, as someone is right around the corner, looking for a job.....

Going to friends for Turkey day, no dishes for me....
