Clown Doll

Hi All, wondering if anyone might know of a sewing pattern for a poseable clown doll. I THINK it might have been a McCall pattern, now out of stock. It was a doll about 1-1/2 ft tall, the arms and legs were clothes pins and they could be posed, putting the clown in several positions. The head was a wooden ball, but could be styrofoam. It was so cute to see him on a ledge or lying down leaning on his arms or many other poses. I had a made-up copy of it but it burned with many other of my patterns when our house burned. You copuld really dress him us in colors with yarn balls for buttons and a funny face. Anyone familiar with it? Thanks.

I think I have seen it as a craft pattern not by a company. I'll do some checking.

Do you suppose Ebay might have the pattern you're looking for? Sorry to hear about your house fire. I can't imagine how difficult that was to deal with. Everyone is ok, right? Hope you find what you're looking for. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

Oh, you poor kid. A house fire! How tragic.

OK, that clown doll. Wouldn't any basic doll pattern do? Put a wire armature inside the legs, arms and body, and you will have a poseable doll. Then google 'clown dolls images' and you will get hundreds -ยด- no, thousands -- of pictures of clown dolls to use for 'inspiration for making his costume.

Meanwhile, let me google free online clown doll patterns and see what I come up with.

Thank you all. I'm going to check out the sites you suggested. Yes,we are all safe, thank God. There were 7 of us in the house, plus Snuffy, the beagle. The girl delivering the morning newspaper discovered it at 4 AM. She called 911 then started banging on the doors and windows. She was our angel. We lost everything, but we have everything - us. It was my daughter's house, I live with them. They rebuilt on the same site, as the house was a total loss. Something to do with old wiring in a location that we rarely used. We were supposed to take possession of the new house in Septmber. The first week in October the builder got mad for some reason and walked off the job. We were paying himn to pay the subcontractors, which turned out to be a mistake. We, with all our friends and relatives finished the house ourselves.

Wow. That is some story. Wonderful that you all, including the beagle, are safe. Stuff is just that -- stuff. It is replaceable. People are not.
