Well I think you nailed it, don't know what camera you are using but I think one that you have to use the view finder instead of the digital display makes macro a little more difficult, that said I think you did a good job with this one
Its a Sony A200 with view finder , not a digital screen display.
Water drops are early morning dew.
Took several shots without touching the flower in any way , and no editing other than crop excess out so it would download in eons.
If you were going for soft focus, it worked....but if you were going for having at least some part of the flower in razor sharp focus...it needs a bit more practice.
You are off to a good start. Just keep on shooting and learning.
If this is your first attempt, I can't wait to see future pictures. I love the soft look.
I am with kpasa111.....kpkp, (soft is good if that is what you want but macro = sharp; close-up, my camera, a sony dsc-h9 has a macro switch, I have to be aware if it is on or not,when I take long shots)
