Where do you folks live? Cell phones are allowed, but not when waiting on a customer. Maybe it would happen in a trashy store, but not in regular ones.
Well, how rude is that! I was in a restaurant one day when some guy on a cellphone moved away from his table of people and stood at my table to talk on his damn phone. I put my utensils down and sat and stared at him. He turned his back on me, but wouldn't leave or stop talking.
I just came from Targets. They weren't very busy and they had some young kid, probably an assistant manager, running the register. It was obvious that waiting on customers was beneath him. I got up to him, with him slamming my stuff around and mumbling to me. I said in a louder than necessary voice, "You know, I'm real sorry you have to work for the money you make here, but you can keep your problems to yourself."
The unemployment rate in this area is huge. Anybody who can make a dime should consider themselves extremely lucky. I am seriously tired of rudeness and being nice back does not work. So when I get lip unnecessarily, I will return rudeness to rude people.

Cellphones at the airport are the worst. If you arrive early for your flight and want to get some work done or even read a book, good luck. Most likely some clown behind you will call one buddy of his or hers after the other and talk loud enough to be heard from 10 rows from his. And usually says the most retarded, idiotic things..
My standard reaction to a rude cell phone user is to join in on the conversation. Then they know they aren't the only ones in the whole world. You bother me, I bother you, simple as that!

I would complain to the supervisor, especially in the case of the postal worker. Those people cannot afford to put customers off because the USPS is losing money and poor customer service will get people angry enough to boycott them. Same for UPS, they are not the only parcel delivery service around. Look at the post office for the complaint form and fill it out. If you don't see them, interrupt the idiotic clerk on the cell phone and ask where they are because you want to complain about her using her phone instead of giving you her undivided attention. That might get her to stop jabbering during work hours.
Now I like that loko ; I am always looking for a way to piss off those idiots on the cell phone ; as for the person that moved near my table to talk I would have splashed or dumped some food on him or her .
I was getting my nails done...and the girl filing down my cuticles gets a phone call...is talking and starts sawing on my fingers like there is no tomorrow...My hands stay cut up all the time because of my art ...framing...etc...I usually have a good supply of bandaids with me at all times...well..I just started talking to her interrupting her conversation...she immediately put down the phone...I won't be going back to her anytime soon...WTF? Jobs are so hard to find right now...I would think good customer service would be a #1 priority...Go figure????????
Well, I just love Loco's idea. Just love it.
Picture this: You are in a beautiful relaxing restaurant enjoying company and a lovely quite meal. Smile on your face, THEN BAM!!
LOUD rap ( or other music ) CELL phone RING?? They LET the whole darn thing play before they answer.!! what is tht a mini concert that I didn't know I was invited to???!!
I used to ride the bus to work when I worked in downtown Seattle. One night I was happily reading my book and a young gal sat next to me and immediately got on the cell phone, talking loudly. I looked at her a couple of times, and when that didn't work, I just started reading my book aloud. She was seriously P.O.'d, but others around us got a kick out of it. Then she made some comment to me and I said there was a seat available farther back on the bus and she got up. Another gal took the seat next to me, and we happily read our books. There was no seat available in the back; my bad.
