November 21st
Good Saturday to all. I don't have too much time this morning. My dear friend is taking me to lunch for some early birthday fun. She will be in Kentucky for Thanksgiving and my birthday. Just having some time with her will be great. I didn't get over to see her and the twins this past week because of this cold. I don't think that I am contagious any longer.
I had one of those periods of sleeplessness last night and about 1:40 I heard gunshots. Techie was still up and heard them too. He later saw police cars patrolling the street. We do not live in a crime plagued area at all so I do not know what might have been going on. I suspect some kind of domestic disturbance and not a home invasion. Yikes. I am so glad that didn't happen while Techie was away in Arkansas.
Sorry that you are not feeling well, Marty. How are others doing? Sometimes we can feel lousy without any real symptoms. I am beginning to think that is just part of these so-called "golden years". The body is telling us, "Ha, so you thought it would be a smooth ride; well, NO". Is that a bit fanciful? I think y'all understand, though.
Oh, I just made a new friend on Eons who at 63 thinks she is too young for the group. She has retired in Turkey, but she and her husband lived in Ireland. I just find that so neat. They can fly home easily to see family too. Do any here know people who have retired outside the USA? Well, of course, that is if you or they lived in the United States at any time.
Take care, and I hope everyone has something to smile about today.
