1. Just wondering how you feel about membership in this group. Should we:

Keep it as is? Anyone can join.

Make it membership by approval? Members must be approved by myself or one of the moderators.

Make it membership by invitation only?

2. Should we keep the group open to everyone to view or make it private?

Just trying to keep us troll and spam free.

I like the idea of membership by approval; but that might mean more work for you and the moderators. If so, that change should be up to the four of you.

As for viewing: I like the way it is, that anyone can read.

Anyone can join but I like the idea of membership approval also Ros..As for viewing: I think we should let everyone to be able to read our posts. I would not be comfortable with the task of membership approval, unless I absolutely have to. I apologize for that..I know that would be an extra burden on you but I have to admit I can be gullible at times.

all the groups that I manage are open with approval and with my biggest group, I go it alone so do all the approvals my self.....not really that difficult or time consuming and I'm fairly thorough......and so far, no complaints.......well, at least with my approval process.....LOL

I moderate one group that is open. Another is approval is required. It takes five - ten minutes tops to figure out a prospective member.

I joined because of the disclaimer that members did not want to be converted, I am sure there are debate groups, but I like this the way it is. How do you screen?

I always get a notice when we have a new member. If we put the change in place, i will get a notice telling me that a person has asked to join. One of the moderators or I will have to decide if the person is sincere or full of Limbo and Blech. Not to mention O'Really.

I'll betcha my interest in what everybody thinks of Fox News has been discussed to death already. I wish I knew how to have it show all the previous topics without showing every single comment therein.
