Do You Shop On................

black friday Pictures, Images and Photos

Do you look forward to Black Friday and shopping?
Do you get up reallllllllllllllllllly early to be at your favorite store
and fight the crowds for the same thing that you are shopping for?

If this is you then please tellllllllllll me, Where do you find the energy I know
it takes to get out on the special day?
Don't you think people get a little crazy shopping on Black Friday?

If you do shop that day, I wish you lots of luck and I hope you get everything
you are after and then come home and take a nap because I'm sure you will need it.lol

Oh, NO, I don't go near them. I made that mistake once in my life and vowed, "never again". Haha. After the death last year at that Walmart, I just wouldn't take such a chance. I don't move as fast any more either. I suspect that we can find good specials all during the holidays this year. Stay safe if you do venture into the "blackness".

Black friday is for working on projects and enjoying a free day. I find I have very little patience for what the stores tell me I have to have or is a good value.

For quite some time I've done most of my shopping on-line. It keeps me out of stores, cuts down on impulse buying and I get to know the UPS man really well - lol!! This year I'm laying off my credit cards (retirement is in sight, I want to get rid of those little buggers) so I will probably do some catalogue shopping and venture back out to the stores. A good portion of my gifts I'm sewing myself, I have a book of very simple projects that if I'm careful with should come out nice. Or there is always baking. No one but me (in my circle anyway) seems to make bread anymore so some variation there is always appreciated. And I'll make my dad soup for his freezer. He likes homemade soup but lately doesn't seem to have the energy to make it.

No, no black friday for me, though I hear Walmart, to avoid last years problems, is planning on staying open 24/7 during the holidays. Poor workers!!

There's an interesting article on yahoo today (sunday) about the things stores do that really are creepy to get people into the stores on black friday. Things like 40" HDTV for $599 but than - quantities limited min. 3 per store. and not letting you know that soe of these deals are available on line and offering models that are similar but not the same as the model you think you're getting.

I may be getting old and crotchety but I'm tired of stores trying to manipulate us, it just brings out my cynicism!! - Debbie

I agree with you Debbie.
And I think that Black Friday sometimes brings out the worst in people.
