Noah's flood.....

History International has a special about Noah's flood.....

It centers on the theory regarding a super flood from the Med to create the Black Sea out of a lake some 8,000 years ago.....

The idea is that a significant portion of the human population at the time was likely there and the ones that survived this flood spread far and wide bringing the memory with them.....

Hence Gilgamesh and Noah and so forth.....

They point out that the Earth was apparently coming out of the last ice age at the time.....they seem to have found an ancient shoreline.....believe they found evidence of a super flood to confirm a computer model.....believe they may have found evidence of human habitation at one of the sites.....

So the question.....plausible? Or no?

To me, it appears plausible, but more work needs to be done.....

The "super flood", the "adam and eve" story, and many other tales that seem to be in all cultures, and are.
Because these are events that happened all over the planet, in different places at different times. I'll bet the tale of the hurricane in New Orleans is very similar to the one in S.E. Asia.
One universal flood? I doubt it. Many smaller instances? More than likely.

My guess is the Garden of Eden is covered by water in Iraq -- more likely the very similar flooding of the Persian Gulf at roughly the same time as the Black Sea inundation.

The two rivers of the Garden of Eden Hiddekel, and Euphrates still exist and run into the Gulf, and two now covered by the Gulf, the Pison, and Gihon of the Bible have been located by satellite photography.

Or, it's origin could be billions of years old and could refer to the end of one universe and the creation of another. Try this for size. More than fifteen billion years old, the masters of a universe see their Cosmos going extinct and they know the only way organic life can survive is if they create a new one and seed it with super organisms that can survive nearly any catastrophe. They know over time these super organisms will spread across their new universe, populating it as their dying universe was populated.

And, the poly extremophiles have. When you stand on a cow pie, you're standing on one of them.

There is a theory that the Mediterranean was created in very similar fashion to the Black Sea . An inland lake , much smaller than the current Mediterranean covered part of the area between Europe and Africa . The Straits of Gibraltar were closed . Something blew out the plug at Gibraltar and a huge amount of seawater rushed in .

It's the Aliens, man! The flying saucers! Millions of years ago, they wrote stories and developed drugs. Now people are the way they are because of people who were the way they were when they were what they were when what was.
Yeah, man! I can dig it!!

Yeah, but no one has found the little fence that went around it. Theory is, that the "Gates of Eden" were probably wood.

Now Eden might have been in the U.S., because we know it was in the same geographic region as Bethlehem. Known as the "Middle East". Now we know for a fact that Bethlehem PA. is in the Middle-Eastern U.S. That would put Eden right around the Port of New Orleans.
Now, you might ask, "How do we know this is the right Bethlehem?". Well, we know that when Jesus was born, there were three wise men who had to come a long distance. And if you've ever been to Bethlehem PA, you know that you have to search pretty far and wide to find three wise men.
