You are welcome my friend! I think I'm going to like it here! I'm going to tell you some great stories meeting musicians like Dave from, Listen To The Falling Rain, Cascades who my cousin Mario is playing with right now. It's a two man group now. Dave sings with a keyboard and my cousin playing the sax. My cousin is the guy you hear on Sweet Catalina and Show Biz.
Johnny,
welcome to the zoo!
I double frenchy's comments as far as the "shit" is concerned.....
Chime is, strike a chord (!), and have fun along with the rest of us!

Hi PM1948! I would like to talk shop and the guitar players who inspiried me to learn how to play the guitar. After I came back from Vietnam. I lost in interest on the guitar and started building hot rods. It was when I heard Mike Bloomfield and The Electric Flag. His guitar licks inspiried me to bend the strings once again. I was mesmerized hearing him play jazz minor licks on Another Country. Later! I found out and that he gave Santana guitar lessions because he plays minor licks on his Latino songs. Johnny! PS: I invite you to hear my original tunes on myspace music. Just go on my profile and press the mouse on The Tijuana Surfers and "boom" your there.
Johnny,
this link in your profile leads to a non-existent page: www.thetijuanasurfers.com
Did you type the "http://" first when you created the link?

Hi PM1948! Sorry about that my friend! I just tested it out and your right! So I took it out! The only way you can see it all and where I've been! Go to Google then type www.thetijuanasurfers.com Hello Frenchi! How are you doing? Right now a buddy has computer problems. I'm going to his place to see what's with that thing. Once I get it back together for my friend. I'll get back with you cool guitar playing guys. Johnny!
welcome to the gang, we're all a bit nuts around here, guitar nuts....j.d.
Hi oldstratdude! What year is your ax? I have a 1965 Fender Jazz Bass, Two Pre CBS Super Reverb Amps. 1972 Gold Top Les Paul with mini Gibson pickups. I bought it used for $300.00. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Your old school guitar playing new friend, Johnny.
wow johnny i used to have a 72 deluxe lester too .. had the mini buckers on it .. but mine was a cherry sunburst .. probably the best lester i ever had next to the one i have now .. and it was close .. really close .. the 72 was really heavy tho .. i had a 71 custom and that one was really heavy too .. that was when they made them pancake bodies or sandwhich bodies .. gibson called it crossbanding .. it was supposed to make the wood not warp .. what they did was layer wood pieces together .. some people say gibson was tryin to use up pieces of mahogony that were too small .. all acordin to who you wanna believe .. but they were great guitars .. just way to freakin heavy .. now gibson drills holes in the mahogony to lighten em up before they put the maple top on em .. they say it doesn't effect the tone .. makes me wonder tho .. me i'd like to see em make an sg out of maple just to see what the tone would be like .. the reason i say an sg is because maple is heavy too .. so it would be thinner .. but a good piece of maple would still be a heavy guitar ..
