Obama Approval Rating In Free Fall

Obama's job-approval rating has slipped below 50% for the first time in his presidency, pulled down by concerns about the economy, federal spending, health care legislation and lack of leadership with respect to Afghanistan.
Historically it has political significance when a president can no longer claim the support of half the American people.

The bad news for Obama really started during the summer amid growing concern about the economy and unemployment. His approval rating was 60% in the tracking poll at the beginning of July, then significantly dropped that month and the next. Since September, his standing has been holding steadily in the low 50s.

The poor decisions made and the continued poor judgement shown by Obama and his staff are the start of a death spiral for the Obama administration. Afghanistan, Obamacare, closing Gitmo, and moving the 9/11 trial to NYC.

Personally I have never seen such outrage and discontent from Americans towards a first term president in his 1st. year in office.

Look at where all the outrage and discontent is coming from...the Republican Party.

All Presidential polls peak and valley over time... I'm not concerned. The Republicans should be more concerned with approval ratings in the low twentieth percentile.

TwoSpirits: It takes more than a few republicans to tank the approval ratings. Mark this date as the death spiral begins.

I pointed this out long ago... This is still a Center Right Country.

Ignore that at your peril.

If that's true Fly, why are the Republican numbers so low? They can't all be RhINOS.

Both parties have forgotten about us ordinary people. They all seem to have a "Beltway" mentality. Congressional ratings are below snake oil salesmen.

Never said the GOP was any better.

I may run again...
Vote for FW...

For the same reasons Two, America is a right of center country!
They voted for Obama who ran as a centrist- moderate hence the tanking of his numbers
not only is further left than Bush Wacker he's turning out to be a far left loon!

Just a general question. Why is it that when there is data that supports Obama and his administrations blunders and poor decisions, the Bush administration is always brought up as a defense?

All this does is make Obama and his team look weak and the naysayers look holding the bag.

I don't get it.

It looks like many Americans have had it with both sides.
Check out the Democrat controlled congressional ratings.
