We wouldn't do that. We're here to help and the only stupid question is the one you are afraid to ask.
Plus we are mainly seniors and have occasional senior moments...like forgetting how to change something etc. Please feel free to ask any question but it helps if you include whether your computer is a Mac or PC, operating system (XP, Vista etc.), and anything else you know (like how many ram) or things that might pertain to the problem ( some monitor problem and it is 12 years old or whatever).
OK Thanks...I've wanted to know stuff but the computer classes are either too simple or way too complicated. I've suffered along as best I can but when the kids hooted me off some site because I asked them how they highlighted a part of the post to respond to, that was it for me. So, I don't highlite the part, I just retype it. Anyhoo... thanks. I'm sure I'll talk to many of you as we go along & I appreciate you folks sharing your knowledge. Senior moments...I had one today where I stared at a word for the longest time because I couldn't remember how to spell it but it sure looked wrong. Remember, by the time we get to our age, we have a lot of info in there. Since the human brain isn't designed for this modern age, I try to give myself credit for all the things I do remember which is actually quite a lot! Thanks again.
LLaL......
By all means, feel free to ask! We don't claim absolute knowledge here, but if you add us all together, we got a 1 geek equivalent!
Pete
as for spelling words wrong, i have spell check and use wikipedia a lot. what gets me is sometimes
spell check say the word is spelled wrong and when i look it up, i have it spelled correctly. it has
gotten so, i am not sure about anything anymore
like a friend said , spell check has ruined his spelling ability.
feel free to ask anything. we all started at the same place.
