Ever sound like your parents?

Today I muttered Damned kids of today & I sounded just like my Dad! That's something I swore I would never do. Has that happened to you?

I wouldn't know what my dad sounded like , he died when I was 4. Mom was pretty laid back and non judgemental so I didn't hear to many things that bugged me like that.
I know I didn't make my kids feel stupid which I sometimes got from her when she was exasperated with me.
I do sometimes laugh at myself when I think things like, he needs a haircut or he needs to pull up his pants, lol.Yup, I can be an old lady sometimes but at least I know it.

OH yes !
I've noticed and maybe others of 'eons age' see a difference in kids today, just like we were different back in the day but worse to me at least.... When I hear Little kids playing, the tone of their voices and the screaming is bordering on violence, like they're having actual warfare going on ! That's when you hear me say...and shake my fist and point fingers,....those darn kids, in my day I would never yada yada yada blah blah LOLOLOL !
I am my parents who thought my hippie music was screeching chalk on a chalk board ! Hee Hee !

I say many things my parents did. I use all their good ones and leave the bad behind...right where they should be.

My Dad used to tell me to turn Janis Joplin down...that screeching bashee. Some lady talks at the school about stranger danger & tells the kids to scream really loud if someone grabbed 'em & I said Who would tell the difference? They always acream like somebody's dragging them away. We would have been spanked by somebody. When I first noticed I sounded like my parents was about the music today but I truly do think it's awful & they should turn it down & stay off my lawn....

Caught myself a time or two but stopped. My mother would say "I'll give you something to cry about" and we knew she would too.

It's kind of opposite in my house...I turn on the rap music and my daughter sounds like my mom..She's 20 going on 40 sometimes...

yes definatly I have my moms personality at times. My kids got whatever I did I am sure.I always said Id never be like her lol...But on the other hand as I grew up and matured I realize mom was just like her mom befor her! Has to be a lesson there somewhere
