In a pinch do this

This is a very old household hint but it comes in handy every year at this time. I have some inexpensive "silver"
for Thanksgiving I wanted it to look nice but didn't want to polish. I took the silver and laid it in an aluminium pan and poured baking soda and very hot water.
Magic, nice shining silver.

Thanks for the tip. That is a lot easier then polishing.

wow, wonder if this would work with other small silver items as well. Do not see why not, maybe I will give it a try. Just never was into the polishing thing.

I sooo need this. I inherited quite a bit of silver from my Aunt. Personally would never buy it because I wouldn't want to have to polish it but it is of sentimental value. Going to give this one a try for Thanksgiving.

I have been using baking soda for a long time to clean jewelery and I am sure it would work with silver service also.
