Why No Strong Recovery?

tc1000's profile
Why don't you read the Financial Times for once. Widen your perspective. We live in a global village, after all. What that means all the economies need to rise together for any of them to succeed. In the meantime, those on the market have never had it so good. And, we're not talking short sellers. They are investing in the future. I bet a few dollars myself. (Yes, Virginia. Some of us parked money in stable funds when the S&P was over 1400).

Why don't you mind your own business? I have no need for advice from you. My investments are doing fine.

"One of the strongest factors promoting recovery from our 10 post-World War II recessions was an unshakable conviction that, regardless of the immediate trouble, the American economy is fundamentally strong" Our 1946 recovery thar lasted 50 years had nothing to di with our unshakakablr convictions it had t do with 1,7 million men jinggling noney in their pockests and all the markets that opened. In greater new York these soldiers went out and b oughtt homes thousands lefrak city, then they were out of the city so they neded cars. in their homes came TV. washing machines ever consumer good our military manufacturing coul make thse homes started put I believe at 8K att 3.? per cent morgage. Then IBM opened in fisskill about a thousand employees doing eral work building something My srep father worked there dor 40 something years he bought a house in yorktown 15K it is worth n mow 350,000 bwfore then tank that is whar brought us a long term recovery now we habe had a bunch of little wars thar havr not fueled he economy just individual companies e hasd kbj nig mistakt anf al the great rerasons to think short term anf let ourcompanies leave. what happened in NY was repeated thoughout the country detroit had to expand to meet this demand. Plus after spensing sometime in europe even in warfae they wanted "new things"
