Antiques....?

Just added a picture file....one of my customers had to sell her summer home and I have been helping clean it out...she gave away almost everything...

She says they were circa 1860.......

so I grabbed this bucket

and this chest

What should I do with them....NOTHING?....refinish?... firewood?...

All comments will be graciously appreciated....

do not disturb the finish or you will remove the patina and that will reduce the value. You can dust it, but not agressively you want to leave enough on it to show where it's been.
If you want to burn it, let me know and I'll come get them. You've got some real treasures there.

That's why my first choice was NOTHING Did you see the pellet marks on the front...love to know how that happened....probably some idiet cleaning his gun...

can you get some close up pictures of the chest?
I'd like to get a close look at the lid edge profile(breadboard?) and base profile. I also am wondering what the dimensions are.
