I have stayed in a couple of former Medici residences that are now part of wine-producing estates with whom I used to do business . The Medici were calculating opportunists who almost always chose personal gain over moral considerations .

Sounds like a Renaissance precursor to the Mafia!
Well at least naming the moons meant something and was lasting. Guess they just knew the right people. Unlike now, you can have a star named for a price. yeah, right, as if...........so later on someone takes YOUR star and names it something else, what ya goin to do sue them?
And how would you know? But the names of those moons have been changed since that time. How fleeting is fame ......
Well I just envisioned these rip of artists giving you a nice little map and your star and name on it......then Nasa coming up with something and wanting to place a flag on it. Well what if its MINE and I got a certificate to prove it haha..............just joking.
Two fingers and a tooth of Galileo have been found and will go on display.

Actually they weren't as invasive as the Mafia. However, if you read up on the family, their influence was far reaching including the power which Katherine had and spread when she became Queen of France.
Dirck - are you a wine expert - is there a wine site on Eons?
Dirck has major street creds with regard to wine, and I believe there are a bunch (again with the unintended pun) of Wine groups on Eons. You can use the Eons Search Groups and type in wine and you will get a fair number of groups.
