I have no plans (by choice). I am having guests off and on next week, but not on Thanksgiving. No cooking, no turkey, though I did always like the left over turkey for sandwiches. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Ladyd, and I hope you are surrounded by friends and family and maybe a stray single man or two.

A stray single man OR TWO??? What would she do with TWO of them lyn? (If it were me I'm not sure I'd know what to do with ONE!) Ha!
I lucked out this year. My daughter's roommate has a business where he sometimes barters with companies - free advertising in exchange for their product/service. Well...there's a restaurant over near me that is just AWESOME!!! (No dieting when you visit them - it's definitely comfort food in the fullest sense of the word!) Anyway, he bartered for a full Thanksgiving dinner of Prime Rib, potatoes & gravy, green bean casserole & Caesar's salad. My daughter is going to fix some appetizers to munch on until we're ready to eat lunch. I'm going to get some rolls & some kind of dessert. I don't have to dirty a single dish if I don't want to! I love it! I believe it will just be myself, my son & daughter & her roommate. Since it's a meal for 8 we should be able to have dinner too - if we aren't too stuffed. Then we'll be watching the Dallas Cowboys football game.
I just enjoy the time off & being able to spend time with my children. I've been needing some vaca REALLY bad, so I'm surely looking forward to a 4 day weekend!
I'm going to Ladydulcinea's house !!!!!
I have a standing invitation to Whidbey Island for holidays, but it's all my son-in-law's relatives. There are always a bunch of people and it's just not my thing. I love a turkey dinner with all the fixings, but I'd rather stay home; unless I can go to LadyD's place. :)
Going to my daughter's for a day full of grandkids. :)
YUM YUM TOO....Prime Rib is may favorite....but not for Turkey Day.
I spend Thanksgiving with my niece and ex-sister-in-law and their family. Lots of really good food and after dinner we usually play some games like pictionary or games with lots of interaction.
I'm making a Banana Cream Pie and Pasta and cheese.
I will likely do most of the cooking at my daughter's. The upside is spending time with my little darlings. I won't see my other daughter this year during the holidays and that makes me sad.
I'm not even a big Prime Rib fan. But when it's free & I'm not having to cook - I'll manage!
As I mentioned in a previous post, I'll be partaking in my first Vegan holiday meal. I'm looking forward to the experience and hoping the weather will comply.
I've recently converted to vegan eating... for the most part. (Hey, it takes time, right?) Two things I noticed right away.. my blood sugar levels dropped as did some weight ... and I don't have stomach problems from digesting meat. Amazing discovery after 50+ years of believing I could not survive with meat protein.
I'm not kidding... if Alaska Air were not so $$$ in their monopoly of our air travel and you could get here by car.. I'd say load up and start driving to my place... I'll find room for all of you.
