creating a png file

I have been playing with a fractal art program. However I do not know how to create the file to save it.. Anyone please help?

I just started to play with "apophysis" Haven't really accomplished or learned anything yet.. But do not want to create something nice & not be able to save it!

You are going to love it.
It does store "png" files.
This is where it stores them:
C:\Users\Ira\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ Program Files (x86)Apophysis 2.0
Obviously you would have your name, not Ira. You might not have the (x86).
That is where it puts both png and upr. I haven't any knowledge of upr.
"png" will open in Photoshop, but it probably can't do much with it.
It prefers Fireworks (another Adobe product). I have it, but I've never used it.
To save something you click on Flame and go to the bottom where it says render to disk.
You pick png and then tell it to go. Then you have the fun of trekking to the folder as shown above to find the item you stored. One or two of the Microsoft picture readers will probably be able to show it.

it can store ur renders anywhere u like. i put them 2 desktop in folder easier 2 find vs goin thru local files/folder.all u have 2 do is when u render change file extension: jpg,png
i save most all my flames just click the icon on tool bar next to icon that resembles a folder.the icon that looks like a gear it renders ur flame

The problem was soo much more than that! I switched art programs.. The orignal one seemed to be more Mac friendly.. The in trying to make a vid I had to find the right way to "compress" file.. & open it up! THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED!

But I got the end result!
