FLICK FOR FRIDAY

This is going to be a discussion post every Friday. We will be discussing a movie of your choice. Whoever puts the first movie on is the one we will be discussing. A movie that you REALLY like and could watch over and over. If another member doesn't like the movie they can just say so or just not participate. We can post our favorite scenes from the movie, favorite lines, favorite characters, etc.... If you want you can put up pics from the movie. This should be a fun activity for all you movie buffs out there. So hurry and get your movie on first!!!

Julie and Julia

I had never been interested in Julia Childs until seeing this movie.
Now I have a book on her, and I am looking for one of her cook books.
She was a very 'entertaining' person...very colorful and fun to watch as she cooked, and had a very interesting life.

Well I cannot get in on this discussion, because I have never seen this movie. Sounds like a good movie though. Mooselver, you will have to tell us more about this movie.

Has anyone else seen this movie? If so, please continue this discussion. I really love to cook and I have heard of Julia Childs, but I didn't know there was a movie about her, I think I would really enjoy seeing it.

I haven't seen the movie mainly because I thought It wouldn't be interesting. After reading mooselver1's review, I think I'll reconsiderl.

I can't add anything to the discussion since I haven't seen the movie but I intend to. Someone told us (and this was a man) that it is a must-see movie. It's not the stereotypical "chick" movie you might think it is. He enjoyed it very much, which I'm sure his wife was happy about! For those who have seen the movie, what was the biggest surprise? What didn't you know about Julia Childs before seeing the movie. I also have to wonder exactly how much of the movie is based on actual fact.
