What gift my grands gave me?!?!

It is officially the flu. I knew it was Inivatable with all the kids sneezing and coughing at the November Bday party. (We have one a month for all birthdays) I have been so ill with a sinus infection/ cough/ chills the whole nine yards. Dr ordered a Z-pak for me last week. Did not help at all. Hubby took me to see family doc today. Gave me a depo/sinus and vitamin B12 shots and a Tamiflu script.(10 pills $200+) Thanks God for insurance, I paid $25. Of course this has set off a huge flare! Worst pain from head to toes, literally. I do have to say I feel somewhat better tonight, sinus opened up so I can breath outta both nostrils once again. All this while packing to move...

Do you guys automatically get socked with a flare when you get sick?

I just went through this and it was awful! The roots of my hair hurt. After I finished my second round of antibiotics I still felt awful and had bowel issues. All of the medication that was supposed to cure me left me with a form of colitis. Now I am on another antibiotic to help with that. The beat goes on!

Oh yeah! I just had a cold and felt like I was going to die for about 6 days. Everything hurt from my head to my feet, I got blisters on my lips, I slept 12-14 hours straight, my sinuses swelled shut and I suffered with major sensory overload.
I don't know how on earth you're packing to move in the midst of all this! God bless you! Rest and take care of your self.

Oh Dawn, you poor thing! I hope you are back to 100% soon. (which for we FM'ers is about 40%)
Try to take it easy and rest, if possible...chicken soup and steam....saline nasal spray if you got it. Those sweet, generous grandkids.

Poor baby. You are going to have to rest a couple of days. Just stop. Give the meds a chance to work and your body a chance to recover. Force lots of liquids, too.

Yeah, every type of illness sends me right into a flare.

Hugs and prayers, Marcia

Neti pot really helps move things through the sinuses. Just does provide relief. Try it if you haven't. Twice a day for sure when you are sick. It becomes addictive in a good way!
I agree with Marcia. Just stop and rest. Otherwise you will just DROP!!!!
Love to you.

My newly American friend's MIL was talking about the neti pot in nauseating detail when I was trying to enjoy my lunch. We had all gone to Olive Garden to eat lunch and toast Maria's citizenship with Italian Marguerita's. Usually things don't bother me much, but I was so shakey and sensitive from lack of sleep that my stomach started churning. She did get her point across enough tho that should I come down with this I will get one. And yes, everything comes with the double-shammy of a flare.
Feel better sweet Dawnie, I hope you kick this soon.

I have only taken 3 of the Tamiflu, I feel allot better. Still in a flare, but has lifted a bit. At least I can focus my eyes now, and get outta bed for more than to get something to drink and go to the bathroom! Oh yes, I use a sinus hot pot too! Boy for a few days there, I felt like I was at my wits end with pain all over my whole body, colitis pain. Just as sick as I have ever been, that I can remember. The grands all got over it in no time. Only missed 2 days of school.
Got no packing done was a good girl and am putting me first! Thank-YOU all for the kind words, and advice. What really helped me with not wanting to dehydrate was my gf's idea she gave me. Hot tea, honey with a teaspoon of frozen OJ mix. I know sounds nasty but.... Hit the spot!
