Oh, the tears were flowing here! What a touching, tender moment! I, too, was glad that Cane explained everything to everybody. He obviously learned what happens when you don't say anything or don't tell the truth - a lot of anger, distrust, and misunderstanding, loss of love and respect. An explanation sure can prevent the fallout of a lot of lingering bad feelings. I liked it when Phillip had that picture of him and Chance together, with him smiling in it! I hope Philip does what he needs to do without getting hurt and makes it back to his family soon.
Hoping what Cane told Billy will wake him up and teach him something about himself. He needed that swift kick in the butt and wake-up call.
I missed the explanation. Why does he have to leave, and what does Cane have to do with it? thanks
I was like you, Tufmama. Not so tough. Yes, the tears were flowing. How wonderful to see the two of them finally click. Like you, I hope Phillip comes back soon and is able to straighten things out in Australia.
When Cane still lived in Australia he helped the authorities bust a gang of cattle rustlers and the ones who remained free were still after him. Phillip had heard from the man running his bar that the rustlers had come in and done some major damage to the bar so he decided to go back and take care of business. He was also worried that the bad guys might track him down and also figure out where Cane is putting him and the entire family in danger. So that is why he is leaving for a while. What a good guy!
Thanks for the explanation, Tuf. Now it makes more sense.
say........ 'spose one of those rustlers could be Kay's daughter? hehehe
Stranger things have happened jannie!
