I went to a fight one Saturday night.
.....and a soccer game broke out.
Soccer is inherently, for some strange reason, capable of bringing the worst out of fans, passersby, players, and countries.
Yes, they do the same thing in England or they did when I lived there and I would bet they still do...good sportsmanship what?
wasn't that song by u2 sunday bloody sunday about a massacre at a soccer stadium ?? i'm not up to speed on all the facts tho . anybody know ?? you lived in england pam were you in the uk when that happened about 25 years ago or so ??
this country is caught up in the sports thing. am not a sports fan and some folks view that as un american
I think "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" was about the assasination of MLK. April 4?
I thought soccer was rough. I attended an ice hockey game once and witnessed five fights. One in the stands, three on the ice and one in the foyer on our way out.

I don't like hockey...don't know why, just don't. Never have.
And I'll watch fishing and poker.
Haven't seen a fight break out at a Bass tournament.....yet.
When it comes to hockey, which is the national sport of our neighbors to the North, erstwhile meek, polite and cordial Canadians let loose all their stored up aggression for some very bloody fights. An out an out riot broke out in Vancouver, BC when they last hosted the Stanley Cup -- police, cracked heads, pure pandemonium.
When I saw a game there with the NY Rangers playing against the Canucks, as soon as the Rangers headed out onto the ice and the Star Spangled Banner began to play, the entire audience booed. From then on it was mayhem at every opportunity against the Rangers. No wonder why seasoned hockey players are minus front teeth.
....and missing crucial brain cells.
Naugh panch....just loose brain stems...
