welcome to the group. just jump in and say what you want as long it is not puting down Ga.
Kerry i grew up in Sylvester and now i am in Bowdon Junction building a new house at 73 years young and doing most of the work myself.
Welcome Kerry. I live in Decatur but I plan to retire to Middle Tennessee.
When I worked at Lockheed, I lived near Powder Springs. My family originated from Irish immigrants who came to Dooly County in the early 1800s. Most of my relatives still live in Georgia. Many of them moved to Porterdale and Covington in the 1930s to work in the cotton mills. The cotton mills are gone now, but several families are still there.
Welcome aboard KC good to have another CAAG group member over here. As I'm sure you know, us Georgia folk are friendly and enjoy talking about our great state. My family was sawmill people but we had some that got into the cotton mills too.

Hi, Pasron. One of my high school classmates , Lee Clements, runs a hardwood mill in Abbeville.
Cypress lumber is one of his favorites.

Welcome KerryCork! We live in Cobb County. I moved here in the early 70's, married a GA boy. Back then it seemed EVERBODY worked at Lockheed. My husbands father retired from Lockheed. Look forward to getting to know you. PM7
I guess it's safe to say Welcome Aboard! The last time I jumped in to welcome someone to a group before the Manager or Moderator made it official, I got in trouble. Lesson learned.
I live in Gwinnett County and have recently discovered some of the wonderful places TN offers for getting away. I took a condo on Lake Holiday in Cookeville and used it as a base to explore all the waterfalls I could in the many, many state and national parks in that area. It was a wonderful, relaxing week that I would repeat except I think there is a lot more to discover in your state, too. My avatar pic is just one of the photos I took in that area.
Again, welcome to the group.
Welcome to the group KC....not everybody in the group currently lives in Georgia....but I think all of us have lived there at some point in our lives....I lived in Macon for 15 years.
