"Out of control" and loving it!

I just came back from Starbucks (yes I’m an admitted caffeine “junkie” ) and one of the young ladies who works there asked me what I had on my feet today . (It’s an on running joke about my shoes) I told her I had on my “biker boots” and she naturally had to check them out. I also mentioned that I recently bought some sexy jeans to tuck inside them which I plan on wearing this weekend. She laughed and said "uh, oh – she’s out of control”! Now, I work for an investment consulting firm and “biker boots" are not what you’d expect a female employee to come to work in. However, since I have on black slacks which cover the studs, etc., no one would ever know unless I raised my pants leg to show them. I think it’s cool when you can “go against the grain” a little and still remain appropriate.

I’d like to say it’s just another form of my creative expression. Obviously, I’m not a “power suit” woman. Too boring and restrictive for this Diva!

When was the last time you did something “inappropriate” and no one REALLY knew except you?

I do a lot of cursing and screaming in my car. I say a lot of bad things.
No one really knows except the Mazda hidden microphones.

Probably fairly often. Now that I'm retired, my rules are definitely my own. Life's too short not to color outside the lines sometimes!

This morning, I had part 2 of root canal procedure. I got to talking to the Dental Assistant (Celeste), a nice woman, married with a daughter, in her early 40s. She just made the whole routine as pleasureable as possible for me. When I was ready to leave, I was talking to my Dentist and Celeste was there. My Dentist was asking me about the medication I was taking for depression. He asked me more about it and I told him I was taking it since my wife passed away 2 years ago. He said he was sorry and so did Celeste. When the Dentist left, it left Celeste and me alone. She looked at me with such a caring and sympathetic look, I couldn't resist and I hugged and kissed her on the cheek. I could feel her warmth and I think she could feel my warmth. Was it inappropriate? I really don't know. But I'll tell you what, it made my day!

Oh Greg you make me laugh out loud!! You know what that was!!! You are just so cute!!

I do stuff like that and have all my life. I have no idea why anybody would ever think I would appear at a conference in some drab suit - yikes - pant suit. I love to do exactly what you're describing Glam!

Good for you, Greg! Life is *so* short, there's nothing wrong with some simple, spontaneous affection. I bet Celeste has never been hugged & kissed on the cheek by a patient before, & it probably made HER day as well :-)
