Prayers for Marriah

Good Morning, This is Sue. Sorry I have not posted sooner.
My niece takes care of a young girl, Marriah (15), who is physically and a bit mentally handicapped. She has been in hospital and rehab for several months. I am not sure what her illness' are but she is very fragile. She just got home last Friday to stay. My niece, Jenna, cared for her that day.
Jenn came down with H1N1 the next day (she had no idea she could be getting sick!). This Monday Marriah was getting sick. Tuesday she was hospitalized with pneumonia and flu symptoms and last night she was placed in intensive care.
Please pray for Marriah and her family. Also pray for Jenna. She feels as if it is her fault but she had no way of knowing she was going to be sick.
This H1N1 flu is really bad here right now. I live in New Brunswick, Canada. I was able to get my shot yesterday because of my chronic illness'. My sister currently has it and my son, Alex,(living in a nearby city) also has it. It is going through the schools and daycares like wildfire. The province is trying to immunize everyone but they don't even have all of the children done yet. They should have closed the schools several weeks ago! The Canadian health system is immunizing everyone at no cost and also offering Tamiflu free. We are so fortunate here in Canada with our free healthcare system. The drug companies can not keep up with the demand. It is probably the same in the USA.
Please pray for Marriah. Thank You, Sue

The H1N1 vaccination has not even been released here in the States, sue.

I will pray for Marriah, and your family and friends.

Tell Jenna it's not her fault. There is a 10 day incubation period for H1N1. If Marriah came home Friday, but was getting Sick by Monday then Jenna couldn't possibly have been the culprit.

If Jenna visited Marriah in the hospital it is possible that they BOTH could have picked it up there. Here they are advising everyone to stay out of hospitals as much as possible to avoid spreading it.

Even if Marriah did get it from Jenna, I still wouldn't blame her. How could she have known? Even with the 10 day incubation period, flu symptoms occur suddenly. If it was possible to lay blame, don't you think they could have stopped the pandemic by now?

Anyway, I will pray for everyone's speedy recovery... God bless!

I agree that Jenna should not feel at fault. Marriah could have gotten from the hospital or someone walking down the street. Sounds like Jenna is someone who cares alot about people.

Oh my prayers are sent your way for you and yours. May God lay His Hand upon your family and all who are suffering from this terrible flu. Jenna should not feel guilty at all she did her best and from what I have read she sounds wonderful. God Bless you all.

Hugs
