Military to Pledge Oath To Obama, Not Constitution

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is extremely frustrated with orders that
the White House is contemplating. According to sources at the Pentagon,
including all branches of the armed forces, the Obama Administration may
Break with a centuries-old tradition.
A spokesman for General James Cartwright, the Vice Chairman of the Joint
Chiefs of Staff, states that the Obama Administration wants to have soldiers
and officers pledge a loyalty oath directly to the office of the President,
and no longer to the Constitution.
"The oath to the Constitution is as old as the document itself." the
spokesman said, "At no time in American history, not even in the Civil War,
did the oath change or the subject of the oath differ. It has always been to
the Constitution."
The back-and-forth between the White House and the Defense Department was
expected as President George W. Bush left office. President Obama has
already signed orders to close Guantanamo and to pull combat troops from
Iraq But, this, say many at the Defense Department, goes too far.
"Technically, we can't talk about it before it becomes official policy." the
spokesman continued. "However, the Defense Department, including the
Secretary, will not take this laying down. Expect a fight from the
bureaucracy and the brass."
Sources at the White House had a different point of view. In a circular
distributed by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, the rationale for
the change was made more clear.
"The President feels that the military has been too indoctrinated by the old
harbingers of hate: nationalism, racism, and classism. By removing an oath
to the American society, the soldiers are less likely to commit atrocities
like those at Abu Ghraib."
"We expect a lot of flak over this," the classified memo continues. "But
those that would be most against it are those looking either for attention
or control."
The time frame for the changes are unknown. However, it is more likely that
the changes will be made around the July 4th holiday, in order to dampen any
potential backlash. The difference in the oath will actually only be slight.
The main differences will be the new phrasing. It is expected that the oath
to the Constitution will be entirely phased out within two years.

This might have been disputed in Snopes, but I only count the days until it DOES happen. Everything this idiot has said and done regarding America and it's constitution leads up to this. He's already acting in the mode of a dictator and I'm sure there are many more surprises to come. A man who has been so closely connected all his life to and has mentors who defy America, does not change his views overnight nor is he apt to ever!! BEWARE, this is in his plans!!! I wouldn't pass this off lightly.
I don't disagree, Photoart. With the oath the way it is the military can stand against the president. Taking the oath to the president, removes that. He is so dangerous to America!
This will never happen. If the oath is changed the servicemen will refuse to take the oath.

I think this is in the works, but not until Obama get his civilian storm troopers who will no doubt pledge their allegiance to him. School children are already being primed to have loyalty only to Obama. They already have in motion plans to limit distribution of ammo. In addition, the gun control goups will need to strip citizens of their weapons before they will be able to pull this off. The Black Panthers and the SIEU will then all be armed. Probably at that point, all the Muslim sleeper cells will be activated and will be given weapons, too. Our military will have supplies cut off. How handy to simply leave them in whatever part of the world they are serving to be overrun by the locals.
Sound farfetched?? Then you have not been paying attention.
Snopes has already been discredited as a reliable source. It's a married couple who investigates using the same information that we are privy to.
Snopes is wrong and biased on some issues, in my opinion. But evidence of this Obama worship has certainly been seen during this past two years, even before he was elected. So it is not too far-fetched.
After all, Obama wants his "civilian force, just as well trained and well funded as the military. Who do you think a civilian force will be loyal to? It has to be someone or to the government and the government doesn't need two armies. That is a recipe for civil war.
Adolph Hitler had his SS and other organizations that were loyal only to him and not to Germany or the government. Our leaders seem to be ignoring all the lessons of history, so why not that one too?
Our armed forces were disarmed at home a long time ago. Had they still been able to carry weapons, perhaps there wouldn't have been so many slaughtered at Ft. Hood.
Forgot to say that I don't trust Snopes at all, but seeing what has gone down so far, this is not far-fetched. We'll be finding soon enough.
