Original Recipe Yield 1 pint

1-1/2 cups water

1 cup cocoa powder
1 dash salt

Combine the water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt together in a saucepan over low heat; whisk constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir the vanilla into the sauce. Serve warm or cover and refrigerate until serving.

NOTE.........................
I have been making this syrup for 8 months I make a batch a week it will fill a large mason jar. This stuff is great

By "white sugar" are you referring to regular granulated sugar or confectioner's (powdered) sugar? This sounds like something I might be interested in trying so want to make sure I do it right.
