"The Program applies only to certain generic drugs at commonly prescribed dosages. Higher dosages cost more. You may obtain a list of generic drugs and dosages covered under the Program at Walmart Retail Pharmacies (the “Retail Drug List”) and through Walmart Mail Service (the “Mail Service Drug List”) on Walmart.com or at Walmart Retail Pharmacies. The Retail Drug List and Mail Service Drug List may change and also may vary by state. Not all formulations of a drug (for example, enteric-coated, extended or timed release formulations) are covered under the Program. Program pricing not available when a covered drug is dispensed as part of a compound."
The wording is confusing--no where does it say that only one pill a day is covered. Oh well-now I won't have to worry about it for 3 months but I just wanted to let everyone know--things aren't like they are advertised.
You'll have to get the doctor to give you 2 90 day 2 pill per day scrips. Most doctors will try to work with you for stuff like this. Maybe he could give you a scrip for a larger dosege and you'll have to snap the pills in half. I'm glad you brought this up, I'll be using Walmart in the near future, or maybe Shop Rite. They have a $9.99 90 day plan.

I don't like or trust "Wally World".
I think I will check out WalMart Pharmacy. I could use a discount. Thanks for all the info and the rules. Saves me a lot of aggravation trying to figure it out myself, then I would have to take another pill the that. lol
then I would have to take another pill for that. "for that". not "the that." Now I need another pill. lol
Were you forced to go to Wallmart, need I say more.

Yes you do. Walmart is vilified left and right by various snubs and protectionist econ illiterates, but the FACT is that it saves Americans, and above all the LESS affluent among us, $10 billion a year.
That's $10,000,000,000.00. And change.
Walmart has made affordable even to the lowest incomes items they could not afford before.
I am sure neither the Kennedys nor the Rockefellers shop there.
PS I also never shopped at Walmart, it is firther away than the other four chains plus the local Whole Foods store from where I live, and using the 2-for-1 bargains in the regular stores and similar prices makes it unnecessary for me to shop there. I only shopped once at Sam's CLub (when the invitation was free) 10 yrs ago, and found little of interest there either.
It costs Americans jobs with the cheap imported products. I don't shop at Wal-Mart simply because I try to buy American whenever I can. Saves me money when I can because the products are better quality. Call it protectionist, but our economy has gone out the window along with the jobs.
BTW, Target, Walgrens and Costco also have special priced generic prescription programs.
Also, if any of you who don't have prescription coverage have a AAA card, they also offer discounts on medications at participating pharmacies. I know Target and Walgrens are on that list.
