Marti, I agree that this project looks do-able by just about anyone. I guess I should quit crushing my cans for a week or so.
omg, i hope you dont mind i stole the site and passed it on to a few hundred people. tooo cool. i have to try that.
Aluminum cans also make nice windchimes....not exactly living off the grid but, there's nothing like a beer can windchime to add some ambiance to the place, huh?
Cali
Back in the 70's, before aluminum, the ex and I made a coffee table from pop cans and a sheet of acrylic. This shouldn't be any harder.
And if the neighbors complain about all the soda cans in your yard..........just tell them it's ART.
I bookmarked that page! Excellent starter project! Thanks Marti!
Okay..........that looks simple enough. I'm passing it on to the MEN in my family. Maybe it will motivate them to find a hobby instead of TV. Yeah, right!!! I may try this myself.
Marti this is a good idea. Now I have the excuse to drink a lot of beer, so I can furnish the neighborhood with enough cans to build their own. I am just kidding about the beer, I have not had a beer in many years. I will give this a try as soon as I can find the time.
im curious if it really works. its gets really cold here.
I had a chat with my teenaged grandson tonight. We've decided we are going to try this project and install it on my camper at the farm. Since I'm not there during the winter (so far) I haven't worried about heat at all. Therefore anything is good, right?
I'm hoping we can get a start next week after Thanksgiving. I had already planned to be at the farm more often this winter, so some passive solar will make things a little easier for the hours I'm there.
