We don“t really have a rainy season here in Bogota, but for the last couple weeks it has rained most afternoons. As for the weather - Same old same old 365 days a year - 40 degrees in the nightwith a possible high of 70 degrees in the day.
No rain here yet but the clouds started appearing almost a month ago. Supposedly it will rain this month and in December and that's it until next year at this time.
The temps are getting cool. Right now it is in the 70s which is very nice since the humidity is very low. It is not unlike Houston, TX where the gardens come alive in the "winter" and last until May. It will get cold enough for sweaters and scarves but not hats and mittens; much less coats.
Here the weather is just beautiful. I was sitting out in the sun today and enjoying it and trying to convince myself it was November 19. Back in Ireland the weather is TERRIBLE - constant rain and winds up to 70 mph. Still no need for coats but you would need a light jacket at night. No duvet on the bed yet either. Going back to Ireland soon and have to get out my winter woolies!
The bom (bureau of meteorology) says it will be 41 Celsius (106 Fahrenheit) in my part of Sydney today and it's still Spring - goodness knows what the Summer is going to be like. Last night it 'cooled' to 23 Celsius (73 Fahrenheit) with humidity high because a thunderstorm is supposed to be on the way - probably hail as well.
I wonder how many of our members are in the Southern half besides Mr. T.
and in upstate New York, it is raining and 40 degrees. Just in case you guys want to gloat! Not envying you, MrTSauce, 41C would make me curl up and die in my bathtub full of cool water.
But the roof repair on the shed will have to wait again.
Regards,
Wollhexe
Mr. Sauce do you live out Parramatta / Penrith way? Gets hot out there. I live a stones' throw from the ocean on the Central Coast. Today it got up to about 30C, some thunderstorms rolled through this afternoon, knocked my power out for about 40 minutes. Not much rain. It's now about 28C (10 PM).

It's 32C in Cape Town today. Clear blue sky. The forecast is clear for the next few days. We start our long dry summer around about now. No humidty, thank goodness.
The schools close next week for summer holidays. This year we are having shortened schools hols because of the World Cup in June/July..the idea is to lengthen the winter holidays so that our traffic congestion will be lessened during the World Cup. Not sure whether this will work.
Yes JoyBoy temperatures where I live are usually like Richmond but lately have been more like Penrith. The forecast I usually look at is
view link the future days I look at West to find the temperatures. It's around 31 C here at about 10:30 pm.
During our time in the Philippines, we liked going up to Baguio when we could, located at a high elevation. Even though still in the tropical latitudes, a sweater felt good in the evening.
