I just (couple of yrars ago) bought a little jig and drille bit that drills and countersinks angled holes into pieces of furniture so sllow hidden screw attachmen......but....not sure what the center rose looking thing is....maybe a wooden dowel....also can't think of the name of it...

Loko, I'm on my third scotch and all i can come up with is it's either a pointer or a spiller.
A pointer puts points on dowel rods or small branches.
A spiller make a wisp shaving for lighting thangs from the fireplace like candles or cigars. . .hey hippie, you could use one of them!!!

I loved the friendly Giant....then my first batch of lids loved him...then my second batch of kids loved him....but....now he isn't there for my grand kids...ehat a shame...
