I agree, Chuleta, the death penalty would be to merciful for these two monsters. I'm not sure what the actual punishment should be but it should be excruciatingly painful and never-ending. There should be no mercy at all for those who hurt the children.
I am sadden by the loss of such a precious child, she will no longer grace her family with that beautiful smile...I will leave justice to God as no human punishment would be enough...

Chuleta, I could not read the story, this kind of stuff I cannot stomach. I become the child and agonize over what she must have gone through and it makes me very, very sad.
We do have a right to be angry. There is so much of this kind of stuff. What happens to people that they can harm a child and go on each day as though everything is jusst normal. Perhaps it is a good thing that the child died, she would have been mentally unable to go through live with such scars. SHe is in God's hands, an angel for always now. God bless her.

Mi Gente,
The sad truth is that this is going on probably right next door to some of you. This was just one case that got out of control and therefore is getting media attention. Folks I honestly tell you that we must be more alert to our surroundings and be more vigilant to the silent cries of these abused children behind closed doors. If you suspect something, please don't brush it off and report it to the police. If this so called mother was trafficking and prostituting children, someone must have noticed something at some point. Let's stop turning a blind eye and think it will go away. Because I live in such a heavily populated city with so much crime, people have become desensitized to these types of crime and people. Growing up in the projects, I witnessed many, many cases of child abuse and often reported it. On many occasions I would confront the parent(s) knowing that I was risking my own life but I just couldn't see a defenseless child be brutalized and do nothing about it. I am always alert to my neighbors with children, angry mothers on the subways with children that they treat like animals. Not too long ago, a woman with a crying young child in a stroller slapped her so hard across the face that her little cheek blew up instantly. I jumped up and so did this other young Black guy who was ready to jump all over her. I pushed him back and told him not to do what he was going to do. Everyone was angry and I had a good mind to swing my fist back and punch her in the face with everything I had. I didn't but when the train stopped, I and a few other passengers held the doors open until someone summoned the police. All the while she was cursing me out "MF Bitch. Mind your FKG business. That's my child...." and so on. I can't tell you how proud I was after it was all over that I was able to restrain myself and not rip her head off as I wanted to. Yes she was taken away by the police and I pray that little girl is in a good loving home right now but the way the system works, something tells me she's still with her mom.
OK enough drama for now but please, be alert and if you see something, do something!!!
Abrazos,
Chuleta
Agreed! Thanks Chuleta for standing up when you see something that is just WRONG!
