Cards, Letters and Packages

for troops in Afghanistan or elsewhere. I found one link on where we can send things to the troops this holiday season. Does anyone have any more or do you have a relative or friend that would like to receive something for the holidays? To me it does not make any difference as to whether we support the wars or not, because I still support the troops

Pamela....I don't know of anyone who is serving in the military overseas. But I can recall when I was serving my tour of duty in Vietnam....many years ago. Especially around the holidays, when I was away from my family and friends. Just a card or a letter would meant so much to a soldier who is far away from home. You seem like a kind and compassionate lady Pamela.

i agree, Pam...the troops need our support regardless of how we feel about the war or wars in general. Thanks for providing the link, if i come across others i'll add them here.

i have a son in Navy, years ago he told me...'Mom, if anyone wants to pray for me--tell them to pray for everyone involved, especially the decision makers.' He has us and a fiance in Hawaii. But i'm sure he'd encourage people to send shows of support, as many don't have all the support they could use.

if anyone wants to post an address of someone that could use a card or package, please do so or a unit or troop

Sponsored by Xerox, you can pick a thank you card that will be sent to troops serving in Iraq (i would hope Afganistan too, haven't picked my card yet to see).
