I'll have to say things like that are very important to me......just never been with any one that felt the same....LOL
The little touches are far more important than the grand gesture. Unfortunately, I'm terrible about dates (might be good for someone who doesn't keep track of them) and am always sending out belated birthday greetings.
I just read an article on Yahoo about gifts men give-if I could find it-I would post it on here-that is if I knew how to do that-which I don't.
Basically it said that he loves you-he just has a different way of showing it.
As for me-I am into the little things women like-and I enjoy getting them-especially if they are not expected.
Getting your lady a new garbage disposal just ain't gonna get it-flowers,cards,gifts,cakes-it is alot of fun-it makes her happy-so why not.
I agree their nice for men also, unfortunetly most men me included are to thick skulled to give it the thought it deserves.
I have never been one to celebrate big, but I do like it when someone gets me a surprise for no reason. Or at least some thought behind it. I spend my time listening to what he says he would like and then that usually is the gift I give.
And I have yet to find a man that seems to think it is wonderful to give me roses on Valentine's Day. I get other flowers, but not roses. What's up with that???? Damn it--I want roses! lol
Dang!!!! ginger....at least you got flowers!!!!!! just kidding....I like roses too......but I seem to be having a lot of flower allergies these days.....oh well.....guess I don't have to worry to much about that.
A simple little card can make a big difference---I also love sending people cards on birthdays and such.
What? You mean the toaster I bought her for our anniversary didn't say "I love you"? She had been complaining about the old one, so ...
And the pyrethrin daisies were the wrong choice? Roses rot in a week or so, but you can plant the daisies.
Hrmph. A guy can learn something here.
Ed-you have to remember you are dealing with women!!!!
Yes the toaster and the daiseys are practical-but ain't gonna cut the mustard!
I used to never send roses-but after I got dialed in-that is the way to go-send them to her place of work(if she works in an office)-more bang for the buck. You will be rewarded for the extra effort!!!!!
LOL Hal.... appliances are a big no-no unless she says she wants something (hey I know women who like that stuff...) but remembering the little things just makes everyday special. Even if its buying her favorite flavor coffee - its going out of your way to say you remembered...
